Nudgee Beach is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 18 km north of the Brisbane central business district where Shultz Canal enters Moreton Bay. Nudgee Beach is surrounded by numerous mangroves.
Sunrise at Nudgee beach is the best, it faces out onto Moreton Bay, and no matter what the season, you will see the sun rise over the rippled sand, as long as it is low tide. The low angle of the sun allows the textures of the sand to shine, both as foreground elements and abstracts on their own. Nudgee is situated near the airport, and Fishermans Island, so there are interesting lights to the South, and to the North you'll see the lights of Sandgate.
great photo. the composition is well done, keeps your eye moving, and the contrast between the blues and yellows is a nice touch between the greens and browns. also good balance of light and darks. looks really good. i woulda left a critique but i guess that about sums it up - not long enough unless i want to sound winded
